Lawrence Glenn Hope Raines (March 9, 1930 — January 28, 1978) was a Major League Baseball infielder who played for two seasons. He first played for the Chicago American Giants in Negro league baseball[1] and also played professional baseball in Japan.[2] In Japan he played for the Hankyu Braves.[3] and along with Wally Yonamine won a batting title[4] After this he entered the Majors for the Cleveland Indians and from 1957 to 1958 played in 103 career games.
He is reportedly one of the only baseball players who played in the Minor Leagues, the Negro Leagues, Japanese Baseball, and Major League Baseball.
